Try every door and the trunk; on a lot of cars one door doesn't lock with the others once it's been out of adjustment for a while. Then look for the fob: keyless cars will not lock themselves with the fob inside, so a car that locked itself probably has the fob outside it, in a pocket, a bag, on the roof.
